To inculcate a culture of appreciation and a spirit of thanking among all the employees of Power Business, an Appreciation Week is organized. This week engages all the employees in appreciating their colleagues and bosses in different ways. From writing appreciation messages on Appreciation Cards and Appreciation Balls to expressing appreciation by tying different coloured bands signifying a unique quality. Each band may describe a different quality worth appreciating like optimism, creativity, sincerity as well as dressing. Other than this, employees appreciate their colleagues by writing messages on balloons and also got together to appreciate different departments through the same. A special contest called ‘Line Up’ is also organized in which employees write creative and original Appreciation One-Liners. The best five one-liners are published in the business newsmagazine. Not only this, the senior management also takes an active part in the appreciation week celebration. On the last day of the week, the entire senior leadership team grandly and proudly welcome all employees with drumrolls and ‘’thank you’’ badges in the morning, thereby, culminating the event with great pomp and show. Every department takes an active part in this event which helps spread the spirit of positivity and happiness across the organization.
Family Get together
Families are the storehouse of energy for any individual. When you leave home with a smiling face, the entire day falls in place. Keeping the families engaged and creating a healthy social fabric is of prime importance. Family Get-Together is something that everyone looks forward to since they are designed to be fun for all. Planning and implementation of get togethers are done by employees themselves. From visits to the Rann Festival to outstation trips to awesome evening parties, employees ensure that they party as hard as they work.
Free Medical Checkup for Parents
Employees are the corner stones of our success and hence we proactively monitor their well being. Apart from the regular medical insurance cover, All employees are sent for a comprehensive health check-up as the per the Master Checkup plan. All employees are then given specific personal guidance and counselling on areas of obesity, life style change and interventions to be done at individual level. The Chief Medical officer keeps track of such high risk employees, monitors them regularly and also shares updates with head HR and CEO. We organise Free Health Check-up Camps and Counselling for the parents of our employees at regular intervals. Adani Power also has tie-ups with various hospitals for providing counselling related to gynaecology.
My Dad’s Office
Summer vacations are a lot of fun as they include going to new places, visiting friends and relatives, holiday tours, trekking, shopping, having mangoes, video games, movies, fun and frolic. The much awaited summer vacations are usually also the most memorable days for any child. Before the new academic year began and children moved on to their next grades, at Adani Power, we decided to add a little extra icing to these happy memories. ‘My Dad’s office’ was an event organized for children of all employees. Children visited their dad’s office. Employee spouses were also invited. A guided office tour followed by lots of fun games, tattoo art, painting competition and rendezvous with their favourite cartoon characters, magic and puppet shows and picnic lunches were arranged for the kids.
Uttarayan brings out the Spirit of togetherness. Kite flying is one of the most vibrant festivals celebrated across Gujarat. Over 300 employees of Power Business Ahmedabad celebrated the Kite Flying Event on Saturday 12th January, 2014 and coloured the sky with the spirit of togetherness. The event was organized at our Sambhav and Achalraj offices. All the Head of departments (HODs) present in town participated with enthusiasm. Music and special Gujarati delicacy Undhiu, Puri & Jalebi were also arranged in keeping with the festivities. Lohri is celebrated by employees and their family members staying at our Townships as well as at the corporate office with traditional fanfare, veritable dishes in the food-court and a DJ.
