Mr Gautam Adani, the Chairman and Founder of the Adani Group, has more than 33 years of business experience. Under his leadership, Adani Group has emerged as a global integrated infrastructure player with interest across Resources, Logistics and Energy verticals. Mr Adani’s success story is extraordinary in many ways. His journey has been marked by his ambitious and entrepreneurial vision, coupled with great vigour and hard work. This has not only enabled the Group to achieve numerous milestones but also resulted in creation of a robust business model which is contributing towards building sound infrastructure in India.
Associated with Adani Group since its inception, Mr Rajesh Adani is in charge of the operations of the Group and has been responsible for developing its business relationships.His proactive, personalized approach to the business and competitive spirit has helped towards the growth of the Group and its various businesses.
A mechanical engineering graduate from Government Engineering College, Haryana, Mr. Vneet S Jaain has been leading power projects including all facets from conceptualisation to commissioning and operation. Mr Jaain is experienced in project management across many industries including coal and iron ore mining, coal washery, cross country water pipelines, cross country conveyors and railway lines. He has been responsible for commissioning several power projects in the country. Before joining Adani Power in 2006, he was working with Jindal Steel and Power.
Mr. C. P. Jain is an Independent Director of Adani Power. He was Chairman & Managing Director of NTPC, between September 2000 and March 2006, and has had an illustrious career spanning nearly 40 years. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and done Advanced Diploma in Management. He spearheaded a major capacity addition programme to make NTPC a 46,000 MW company by 2012. He led the market entry of NTPC through its IPO in 2004. Mr. Jain had been the Chairman of the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the apex organization of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in INDIA for the period 2003-05. He was Member of the Ad hoc Group of Experts on Empowerment of CPSEs constituted by the Government of India. He headed the CII’s (Confederation of Indian Industries) National Committee on Energy. Mr. Jain has been the Chairman of the Global Studies Committee of World Energy Council London and also the Member of its Officers Council for a 6 year term up to September 2010. After his retirement from NTPC in March 2006 Mr. Jain has been member of Standing Technical Advisory Committee of Reserve Bank of India (R.B.I.) and Member of Audit Advisory Board of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for a term of two year each.
Ms. Nandita Nagpal Vohra has over 15 years of experience in investing, investment banking, policy and financial advisory in the infrastructure space. She consults with the Asian Development bank and has advised the World Bank and Larsen & Toubro Infrastructure Finance on structuring and financing of infrastructure projects. Ms. Nandita has worked with Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, Feedback Ventures Private Limited, and CRISIL Limited. Ms. Nandita was part of the Investment Management team at Feedback First Urban Infrastructure Fund. She has worked on projects across roads, urban infrastructure and water supply being developed by leading private sector infrastructure players in the country. She understands issues related to viability, bid, negotiation, award, contract, finance, implementation, operation and exit from infrastructure projects. She worked on the first public issue of bonds of a Municipal Corporation (Ahmedabad), first public issue of bonds for an Infrastructure Company (Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited). Currently, she is working on the infrastructure development initiative of ADB along with Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance to mainstream public private partnerships in the country. Ms. Nandita is an alumnus of Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.
A retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) official, Mr Vijay Ranchan holds an MA degree in English Literature from Punjab University. During his tenure, Mr Ranchan has held various senior positions in the Government departments of Revenue, Industry, Labour and Health. He had been the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, handling policy framing and administration. He has also worked for Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation (GAIC), Gujarat Industrial Investment Corporation (GIIC), Gujarat State Power Corporation (GSPC), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) and Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC).
Mr. Raminder Singh Gujral is B.A. (Economic Honours), LLB, MBA (IIM Ahmedabad) and M.A. (International Finance/ Business – Fletcher School). He retired from the post of Finance Secretary (Government of India) in 2013. He has held various posts in the Central Government and has sufficient experience on functioning of CBEC and CBDT. He has held positions of Secretary (Revenue), Secretary (Expenditure) and Secretary (Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways). He also served as Chairman of National Highways Authority of India. He was also the Director General of Foreign Trade and Chairman of Board of Governors of National Institute of Financial Management. He also worked in the Indian Administrative Services for over 37 years.
